Dr. Chambers is President and CEO of Swift Biotechnology, a young company targeting development of cancer diagnostics. He actively invests in early stage high growth companies and serves on the board of ProUroCare, a publicly traded company. Previously, Dr. Chambers helped establish InnoRx Pharmaceuticals in 1999, a company specializing in development of drugs and drug delivery systems for ocular disease. He served as President and CEO of InnoRx until negotiating its sale and merger into SurModics.

John Cooper
Director

John Cooper has been a director of InQ Biosciences since June 2010.  In 2008, he retired as Chairman and CEO of publicly traded Avocent Corporation. From 2002 until 2008, he led Avocent through a period of rapid growth from $260 million to $600 million in revenues, to become one of the largest companies in local and remote IT infrastructure management. From 1996 to 2001, Mr. Cooper was Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President, Finance and Administration, of publicly traded ADTRAN, Inc., a leading global provider of networking and telecommunications solutions with revenues of $300 million.

Russell K. Garlick, Ph.D.
CEO and Director

Russ Garlick, CEO and Director, has served as CEO since March 2011.  Dr. Garlick comes to the company with 30 years of experience researching, designing, producing and selling instrumentation products to the life sciences industry.  His experience includes eight years as VP R&D for DuPont NEN/Perkin Elmer, a major supplier of lab instruments, and eight years as CEO of Protein Forest, a supplier of a cell culture lab instrument that exited in 2009.  His education includes an M.S. and Ph.D. Biomedical Sciences, Medicinal Chemistry, Barnett Institute, Northeastern University, and a B.S. Biology, University of Massachusetts Lowell.

Dick Reeves
Executive Chairman and Director

Dick Reeves, co-founder and Executive Chairman, has served as Chairman of the company’s board since inception.  He was CEO of BizTech, Huntsville’s technology-focused business incubator when the original technology arrived there from the university, and supervised the organizational work on the technology commercialization plan.  Mr. Reeves led the fund raising efforts for all rounds.  He served as CEO from June 2010 until March 2011.  In his 45 year career he has been founder/CEO/Chairman and/or principal in several high technology companies in the information technology field.

Bob Thurber
Director

Bob Thurber has served as a director of InQ Biosciences since its founding in 2008.  He was a co-founder of Intergraph Corporation, a publicly traded supplier of industry-leading computer-aided design systems and software, where he served as Director and Executive Vice-President until his retirement in 2001.  Since that time, Mr. Thurber has supported emerging high-technology firms in Huntsville by serving on the boards of the BizTech business incubator, the Huntsville Angel Network, and four other startup companies.  He is also Chairman of the Board of Reliance Bank, a local community bank, and serves as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Huntsville's Randolph School.
